Traci Feathers

I’m Traci Feathers, an LCSW in the state of South Dakota. I have a Master’s Degree in Social Work with a specialization in mental health and trauma from the University of Denver. With a decade of experience in community mental health, I have been shaped by this diverse role and opportunity to work collaboratively in hospital settings, schools, with non-profit organizations, and state agencies.

Therapy is a very personal experience and unique to each person. I strive to bring compassion, warmth, and provide a safe space where clients feel seen, heard, and welcome to embrace the inevitable messiness of the human experience. My approach is collaborative and grounded in understanding and supporting the whole client. I integrate a variety of treatment modalities, drawing from cognitive and strengths-based therapy, internal family systems (IFS), and polyvagal theory. I enjoy supporting teens, young adults, and adults who are navigating the weight of grief, chronic stress, anxiety and mood disorders, PTSD, trauma, and personality disorders.

Having called Aberdeen home for most of my life, I feel grateful to be living here with my husband and 2 children. When I’m not in the therapy room, you can find me at the lake, out on a walk, gardening, in the yoga room, listening to a podcast, and spending time with loved ones.

Currently based in Aberdeen, SD, I offer in-person and telehealth services to accommodate your needs and preferences
