I’ve felt passionate about the mental health field from a young age, and I’m honored to be part of Rising Hope, having the opportunity to bring accessible, compassionate therapy services to our small community.
Having grown up right here in Scotland and lived here for most of my life, this community holds a special place in my heart. I understand that life can be challenging, and we all face our own struggles along the way. My hope is to provide a safe, welcoming space where people feel supported, understood, and never alone in what they’re facing.
With over 14 years of experience in the mental health field, I have had the privilege of supporting children, teens, adults, couples, and families through a wide range of challenges, including depression, anxiety, personality disorders, suicidal thoughts, PTSD and trauma, relationship changes, grief and loss, and more.
I draw from a variety of therapeutic approaches, including EMDR, Accelerated Resolution Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, tailoring my approach to meet your unique needs and goals.
Above all, I believe therapy works best when we work together. My goal is to create a warm, supportive, and collaborative space where you feel heard, understood, and empowered. Together, we can identify what matters most to you and find the approach that feels like the best fit for your journey.
When I’m not working, I love spending time with my family, camping, attending sporting events, and enjoying the great outdoors. Some of my favorite things include baking, watching Hallmark movies, embracing the fall season, and, of course, starting my day with a good cup of coffee!
I earned my Master’s in Social Work from the University of South Dakota in 2015 and obtained my highest level of clinical licensure in 2020, practicing ever since.
I truly believe that no matter what life brings, there is always room for hope, healing, and a path forward. I look forward to getting to know you and having the opportunity to work with you in the near future!
