Hi, I’m Jaici! I recently graduated with my Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy from South Dakota State University in December 2024.
I’m truly passionate about the work I do as a therapist. I believe that therapy is a powerful tool for healing and growth, and I feel incredibly grateful to be a part of people’s journeys toward greater understanding and connection. Every person has a unique story, and I love being able to create a safe, supportive space where they can explore their feelings, work through challenges, and build resilience.
What excites me most about therapy is the opportunity to make a real difference in someone’s life. Whether it’s helping a child express themselves through play, supporting a couple in strengthening their relationship, or guiding an individual through tough moments. I am deeply committed to walking alongside my clients with empathy, respect, and a genuine desire to help them thrive. I see therapy as a partnership, a collaborative effort where we work together to navigate life’s challenges and unlock each person’s potential. What excites me most about therapy is the opportunity to make a real difference in someone’s life. Being able to help others heal, grow, and live more fulfilling lives is what drives me every day. I am continually inspired by the strength and resilience that people bring into the therapy room.
During my internship at a community mental health agency, I had the opportunity to work with children ages 3-11 years old using play-based approaches, particularly child-centered play therapy. It was such a rewarding experience, and I love how play can be a powerful way for kids to express themselves and work through tough emotions. I have completed phase 1 in my play therapy training and will continue working towards completing phases 2 and 3. I have completed level 1 training in the Gottman Method for couples therapy, which helps me support couples in building stronger, healthier relationships.
