I grew up in the New Ulm community and graduated from New Ulm Public High School. My husband and I moved to South Dakota for college and loved the area, so we stayed for a while! After having 2 kids, we decided family time was more important than ever and we now live in rural Lafayette, MN back on my family farm.
After graduating with my bachelor’s degree in Social Work at the University of South Dakota in 2015, I started my mental health career working with many different diverse populations. I then graduated with my Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of South Dakota in 2018 and became a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. In January 2020, I received my Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) certification. I then obtained my License Clinical Social Work, Private Independent Practice (CSW-PIP) in 2021 from SD. I have since worked toward licensure with IA (LISW) and MN (LICSW) in 2023.
I have experience working in providing mental health therapy in outpatient, inpatient, school based, and home based settings.
I have training and clinical experience working with the following areas:

- parent/child relationship struggles

- family communication adjustment disorders to life stressors
- personality disorders
- anger/aggression management

I utilize many therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral therapy, trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), client centered therapy, solution focused therapy, strengths-based approach, DBT skills training, and evidence-based practice to best connect and help my clients. I am credentialed as a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker, LICSW in Minnesota.
I’m not your typical therapist, I have a strong belief in freedom and helping others. I love being outdoors, spending time with family, and adventure. I enjoy riding motorcycles, kayaking, working on our farm, and being involved with the community. I absolutely love what I do and look forward to meeting you.
